This is a fascinating book, which I really enjoyed and found hard to put down. It introduced me to a whole new world of life in Trinidad in 1917, New places, people and recipes. It has useful maps and a glossary at the front of the book . I found the ending just slightly flat after an exciting read, but definitely recommend it
